Exercise, Swim and Play

Come in from the cold and fulfill your New Year's resolutions.  At Sportspark, there are many ways to become fit and stay healthy while having fun.  Featuring a swimming pool, basketball court, and ping pong room, as well as low cost swim and ping pong instruction, Sportspark is a great sports resource in the middle of New York City.  The facility is just steps from the Roosevelt Island Tramway and only a few more steps from the F- train stop, and it is open to Roosevelt Island residents and general public

Swimming Pool

Our recently refurbished, handicapped accessible, Olympic-style pool is available for lap-swimming seven days a week. Additional pool area is designated for recreational use and children's free play. With life-guards on duty, the pool sits amid stadium seating, giving the vital adult swimmer an ambiance of competition for their laps or energetic kids added grandeur to their play. Kickboards and other supplies for specific swim exercise are available poolside. Locker rooms are available for men and for women with showers and lockers.

Gym

Our full-size basketball court with indoor soccer, futsal or handball goals has been equipped with a new laminate floor only this year. Six hoops are available to accommodate full court games as well as multiple small drills and practices. The court is handicapped accessible.

Ping Pong

   

Our Ping Pong Room features six Olympic regulation tables with free play and classes available.
